Role Overview
Switch Media School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lecturer in Specialized Communication – Corporate, Crisis, & Public Affairs. The role requires an expert who can equip learners with the strategic communication, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement skills needed in today’s digital-first media environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach the principles and practices of corporate communication, crisis management, and public affairs.
- Guide learners in developing corporate communication strategies, crisis communication plans, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
- Facilitate simulations of media handling during crises and public advocacy campaigns.
- Train students on digital and social media’s role in corporate and crisis communication.
- Mentor students in creating professional press releases, speeches, crisis statements, and public advocacy materials.
- Assess learners through case studies, presentations, and real-world scenario analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
- Proven industry or academic experience in corporate communication, crisis management, or public affairs.
- Strong background in media relations, strategic messaging, and government/stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of AI-driven communication tools for crisis monitoring, digital PR, and sentiment analysis.
- Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or corporate communication departments.
- Professional membership with PRSK, CIPR, IABC, or similar bodies.
