The Social Media Editor will lead and execute Switch Media’s content strategy across digital platforms to grow audiences, increase engagement, and drive monetization. The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, and highly skilled in digital storytelling, audience engagement, and performance analytics.
Content Strategy & Execution
Develop and manage content calendars for all Switch Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, website) and those of its clients
Create and publish multimedia content (text, graphics, video) tailored to each platform.
Collaborate with video producers, designers, and copywriters to produce engaging content for both internal and client projects.
Ensure consistency of brand tone, look, and feel across all digital touch points.
Audience Growth & Engagement
Drive organic growth through targeted campaigns, SEO/hashtag strategy, influencer partnerships, and trend monitoring.
Monitor community feedback and lead audience engagement through timely and relevant responses.
Analyze performance metrics to inform content decisions and optimize strategies for reach, retention, and conversion.
Client-Focused Services
Manage social media campaigns and performance reporting for clients.
Support content marketing efforts for TV shows, commercials, and studio hire promotions.
Lead the development of digital strategies for new and existing client accounts.
Training & Institutional Support
Support the Switch Media School by promoting courses, live sessions, and digital campaigns.
Create tutorial content, student showcases, and thought leadership pieces.
Help develop and mentor interns and students in digital best practices.
Revenue & Monetization
Work with the sales and product teams to identify opportunities for branded content, influencer partnerships, and sponsored campaigns.
Manage digital ad placements (Meta, YouTube, Google Ads) and performance-driven campaigns.
Track monetization metrics across platforms (YouTube Partner Program, Meta Reels, branded content) and recommend new revenue opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
3+ years in digital content or social media management, ideally in a multimedia or broadcast setting.
Proven success in growing and monetizing social media accounts and video content.
