WHAT YOU WILL DO AT BIHC
JOB SUMMARY: You willmanage alumni relations and leverage alumni networks to support student mentorship, internships/attachments, career opportunities, and institutional partnerships through structured engagement, communication, and opportunity sourcing.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, maintain, and continuously update a comprehensive alumni database (contacts, employment status, sector, location, engagement history).
Build and implement an alumni engagement plan that supports mentorship, career talks, guest lectures, and student opportunity pipelines.
Mobilize alumni to share internship/attachment and job opportunities; maintain a structured process for receiving and validating alumni referrals.
Coordinate alumni events and engagement activities including networking sessions, career forums, and alumni recognition initiatives (in collaboration with the career services team).
Strengthen alumni involvement in institutional development initiatives (industry linkages, sponsorships, advisory support, curriculum feedback, brand advocacy).
Act as a functional link between alumni, students, and industry partners to enable mentoring matches, referrals, and collaboration.
Prepare alumni engagement reports, success stories, and impact summaries for internal communication and management reporting.
Manage alumni communication channels and cadence (e.g., newsletters, platforms, alumni groups) to maintain consistent engagement.
Any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree International Relations, Public Relations, Business management, Marketing or equivalent.
Two (2) years’ experience at an Institution of Higher learning
Demonstrate continuing professional development
A deep understanding of, commitment to and involvement in hospitality Industry
Extensive knowledge in ICT and experience of education, higher Education and the issues and challenges facing the sector.
Key Competencies
Stakeholder engagement and partnership governance

Effective verbal and written communication, including report writing
Alumni records, data management, quality assurance, and reporting
ICT proficiency (MS Office, databases, email, and virtual platforms)
